Let’s Play a Gig / Koncertuj

A platform for planning concert tours: a venue catalogue, a map, a cost and attendance calculator and event publishing, plus QR-code tickets, sales and settlements.

Live platform: letsplayagig.com for the international market and koncertuj.com in Poland, on a shared database.

Our own Localize.pl project, not client work.

The problem and who it is for

A band planning a tour usually works it out in a spreadsheet: fuel, accommodation, crew, the venue fee or a share of ticket sales. Every change of city or expected attendance means recalculating everything.

Let’s Play a Gig brings venues, the route and the economics of each gig into one place, and then handles the event itself.

How it works

  1. Choosing venues on the map
  2. Tour order set by the band
  3. Costs, attendance and deal model with the venue
  4. Publishing the event
  5. QR-code tickets and checks at the door
How it works: a simplified diagram, not a screenshot.
The tour planner on letsplayagig.com: a map of Central Europe with a three-stop route Berlin, Prague, Vienna, the list of stops with venues from the directory, and the deal settings for Vienna.
The tour planner on letsplayagig.com: Berlin, Prague, Vienna, 681 km, with a venue from the directory picked for each city.

What we built

Our own tour economics model

The calculator covers crew, travel and accommodation costs and five deal models with venues. The band compares attendance scenarios before committing to a tour. It is a cost and profitability simulator: the band chooses the order of gigs, and distances are estimated.

Venues on the map

Choosing venues and planning the next gigs on a map, based on a shared venue catalogue.

PDF tickets with a QR code

Tickets are generated as PDFs. At the door the code is scanned with a phone camera, and if the camera fails it can be typed in by hand.

One ticket, one entry

Ticket use is recorded in the database in a single, indivisible operation. Two simultaneous scans of the same code will not let two people in, because the database decides, not the scanner screen.

Sales and settlements

In the Polish version, payments through Autopay and invoices in KSeF (described separately as the settlement module), plus notification queues.

Technologies and their role

TechnologyRole
Next.js, React, TypeScriptApplication for bands and organisers
PostgreSQL, DrizzleShared data on venues, tours and events
LeafletVenue map and tour planning
pdf-lib, qrcode, jsQRPDF tickets and a phone-based code scanner
Autopay, KSeFPayments and invoicing in the Polish version

Status

The platform is live in two market versions. The planner calculates costs and profitability for the options the band chooses; it does not plan the route automatically.

As of 28 September 2026.
